Description

Since he began teaching at Hastings High School in 2001, Ross has taught a range of English courses, including a Syracuse University freshman writing class, American Literature Honors, Journalism, and an elective he created called Reading Race and Gender.

Ross received his BA from Wesleyan University and MA in English Education from Columbia University. In 2013, Ross earned a certificate of Teacher Leadership from Manhattanville College. He has been featured twice in Westchester Magazine’s Best High Schools issue.

Ross is passionate about helping students reach their fullest potential and feels the greatest sense of satisfaction when students surprise themselves by exceeding expectations. When not working with students, Ross enjoys spending time with his two young daughters.
