PSAT Preparation
Typically taken in the fall of the junior year, the PSAT/NMSQT measures content learned in high school and provides an introduction to the critical thinking skills necessary for success on the SAT. With three tests—Reading, Writing and Language, Math—the PSAT/NMSQT embodies two hours and forty-five minutes of actual testing. For those who want a head start, the College Board also offers the PSAT 8/9 and PSAT 10 examinations.
The PSAT/NMSQT: Test Overview
- Reading (47 questions, 60 minutes)
- Writing and Language (44 questions, 35 minutes)
- Math (48 questions, 70 minutes)
