Course Description
This four-class course will serve as an excellent review of all the material and skills that are assessed on both the AP U.S. Government & Politics exam AND the AP Comparative Government & Politics exam. The AP Comparative Government & Politics portion of the course will not only cover the six core nations that make up the heart of the content on the exam, but will focus on how the conceptual aspects of the course link to each of the core nations. Course Description
This four-class course will serve as an excellent form of review as it will condense the major elements of U.S. History into a comprehensive 10-hour seminar. Each class will review a significant portion of time along with the historical skills needed to excel on the examination. There are four skills necessary to score well: Multiple Choice, Short-Answer, LEQ (Long Essay Question) Essay and the DBQ (Document-Based Question). We will spend considerable time working on these skills combined with a condensed version of the content. In addition, there will be graded practice questions, essays commented on and DBQ's reviewed throughout the course that will place students ahead of most when it comes examination time. The class will be engaging, thought-provoking and fun as Ms. Murphy/Mr. Harrison will consistently relate elements of U.S. History to life anecdotes and parallels that will keep students engaged throughout.
