Nate Smith has spent nearly a decade working as a private tutor and tutoring center manager. He supports students’ PSAT, SAT, and ACT prep as well as their math coursework from middle school up through calculus. He is passionate about connecting with students as individuals and helping them reach their long-term goals. Nate joined the Carnegie Prep team in 2025, where he
teaches test prep courses and tutors students privately.
An aspiring screenwriter and obsessive film buff, Nate studied Applied Math and Economics at Brown University. In his free time, he enjoys relaxing outdoors (hiking, biking and sailing in particular), and spending time with his family on the North Fork of Long Island. Nate was raised in Hastings on-Hudson and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.

ACT Summer 2026 Bootcamp
Course Description
The in-person ACT Bootcamp is designed for rising juniors as well as rising seniors preparing to take the new, shorter ACT. This bootcamp includes four classes, one proctored paper-based practice ACT, and one optional extra help session.
Schedule:
1. Monday, 8/17: 9:30am – 12:30pm
2. Tuesday, 8/18: 9:30am - 12:30pm
3. Wednesday, 8/19: 9:30am – 12:30pm
4. Thursday, 8/20: 9:30am – 1:30pm (timed practice test)*
5. Friday, 8/21: 9:30am – 12:30pm
*Practice Tests: The paper-based practice ACT is timed, proctored, and administered at Greenwich Country Day School. It will reflect the new, shorter ACT format and include the optional science section. The practice ACT begins at 9:30am for those students with Standard Time and at 8:30am for students with 50% Extended Time. Students are encouraged to take the practice test in person to simulate the actual test day experience. Students who cannot attend in person can take the test remotely.
