Kim Brush joined Carnegie Prep as Head Proctor in 2025 after many years serving as a proctor on ACT, SAT and PSAT tests. She enjoys working with high school juniors and seniors as they prepare for their college testing. The college entrance test process can be stressful and Kim enjoys being a steady, calm presence for these students.
Kim is currently a full time teacher at Rye Country Day School where she also serves as the administrator on several programs including their Lower and Middle School After School Clubs, Extended Day and Employee Childcare Programs. Her dual role at RCDS allows her to develop and manage programs as an administrator while her teaching role puts her in the classroom with Kindergarten to Grade 4 students each day. It is the best of both worlds!
She grew up in Rhode Island and has spent time living in Los Angeles and Greenwich. She graduated from Union College with a BA in both Economics and Art. She is married and has two grown children who went to local independent schools including Greenwich Country Day, Greenwich Academy and Rye Country Day. Both of her children attended Colorado College in Colorado Springs, after working with the Carnegie Prep team to prepare them for their SAT Subject Tests, SATs and ACTs.
Kim lives in Greenwich but enjoys spending her free time at her home on Block Island, Rhode Island.
