Megan Salomone has been a dedicated high school educator for over twenty years.

She holds a BA and MA in English Education, from Ithaca College and New York University, respectively. She has spent the last seventeen years teaching various courses at Byram Hills High School, including AP Literature and Composition, Speech Communications, and Authentic Science Research.

Megan designed her school’s AP Literature curriculum twelve years ago, and she continues to adapt it, finding great pleasure in helping students navigate complex literary works, classic and contemporary. In 2015 Megan joined her school’s Authentic Science Research program, where she helps students refine their scientific prose and oral communication skills.  In all courses, Megan’s primary goals are the same: to help students read critically and write with clarity.

When not lesson planning or reading student writing, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
