This one-class workshop is for students taking AP European History, U.S. History, AP World History: Modern. Each AP History exam features a Document-Based Question (DBQ), a skills-based essay that is prominent throughout each course. This question also amounts to the highest percentage of the overall grade on the examination and plays prom. This Workshop will review the rubric and discuss the strategies needed to achieve a high score on this segment on the examination. As each of the examinations have the same rubric, the DBQ review will focus on a topic that works across and through all three historical curricula. In addition, the Workshop will offer some key ideas/tips on how to tackle the Short Answer Questions, which also make up a significant portion of the examination.
