We are remote, and we are here for you! Standardized Tests: What's Next? Read our FAQs!

We are remote, and we are here for you!

Due to the coronavirus,  we are changing our playbook to help our students prepare for the upcoming SAT, ACT, AP Exams, SAT Subject Tests, and academics.

We are going remote for the foreseeable future. Yes, we are just one click away. This move allows us to make sure the health of our students, teachers, tutors, and proctors remains our top priority and still deliver the academic services you expect from the Carnegie Prep team. Especially at this important juncture of the academic year!

Below are details on each of our service offerings and answers to some of the pressing questions you may have. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions.

Courses (including Custom Courses):

For the time being, all Carnegie Prep courses will be taught via Zoom.

The Zoom classroom platform allows our teachers to replicate an in-person, interactive teaching experience. In preparation, our teachers have undergone extensive training on how to lead a virtual classroom, including instructional strategies and available tools.

To access Zoom, students will need internet access and a computer or tablet with a working camera and microphone. All other course materials will be provided. Teachers will be emailing students a link and detailed instructions 3-4 days prior to class start.

Practice Tests:

Our practice tests will be offered online.

At this time, practice tests are open to students who have taken a Carnegie Prep SAT or ACT Course, are working with one of our tutors, or have scheduled a session with one of our tutors.

To access online practice tests, students will need internet access and a computer or tablet with a working camera and microphone. All other practice test materials will be provided.

Private Tutoring:

Our tutors are well-versed in remote tutoring practices and utilize cutting-edge technology and online programs that replicate in person pencil-to-paper tutoring sessions.

In order for students to participate in remote tutoring, they will need internet access and a computer or tablet with a working camera and microphone.

For details regarding individual remote tutoring sessions, please contact your tutor directly. For more information or to request a private tutor, please email us.

Private Proctoring:

If you are interested in private proctoring services, please get in touch and we will provide further details.

We understand that all of this uncertainty – from school closings to canceled SAT dates – is challenging and frustrating.  As always, we’re here for you.
